Well, it's finally arrived, the day I knew would come, the day that would make me officially feel "old."
Yesterday one of my students told me that her mother is 36 years old.
I am older than the parent of one of my college students.

Heh. Been there.
I was just thinking last night how I used to be the youngest most everywhere--now I am adjusting to being the oldest. Aging is so hard **sigh**!
I will never forget looking around at church one day and realizing that Albert and I were two of the oldest people there. I had become the "old folk" in the chruch. Yipes!!
Mom
Sreak, I figured you could relate.
JB, you are so full of energy, I'm sure you could run circles around most of the younger people.
Mom, that's a good reason not to go to church!
:-)
Well, yesterday made up for the day before. I was sitting in the classroom talking with some of my students when a couple of girls from class walked in. They thought I was one of their classmates until they took a closer look. "You look so young, Professor G!" I felt much better.
But the Tuesday's incident reminded me of something I had thought of several months ago: Pretty soon, my high school classmates' kids will start showing up in my classes. Scary!
No sympathy here. Get used to it.
I have encountered a similar milestone with my new brother, Wendell. Where does he find the energy?
You're a real pal, Tony. Thanks for the support.
Mugsy, one reason we don't have puppies at our house any more is because they really cut into naptime.
