Don't Buy Your Toiletries Until You Get to Where You're Going

So because of this foiled terror plot, people can't carry any liquids onto planes. I was just watching the news, and they were showing all sorts of things that are being confiscated from people boarding planes: eye drops, deodorant, chapstick, toothpaste, hairspray. This is getting ridiculous.

The Walgreens stores near the airports will be happy about it.

I figure they will just refuse most carry-ons really soon. Hopefully they will allow a book or a laptop--that is until there is a threat that includes one of those--then they will ban that also.

This could be a business opportunity--toiletry bags to go--in a kiosk at the airport--what do you think?

Great idea, JB. I'll bet you could go right now and stand in the arrivals area and sell everything you could haul in from Walgreens!

I just watched CNN--it will have to be outside of security--there is no way I could get any of that past security today. Perhaps a kiosk at the baggage area???

It is absolutely insane. Here is where we will be shortly...

No carry-on anything...

No check luggage either...

No clothing allowed to be worn, underwear only...

This will bury the airline industry. This is crazy, no water, no shaving cream, no anything. People can no longer travel by plane.

Amazing that just a handful of evil people can ground 100 years of invention, not by obsoleting the technology, but by making it impractical to use it, out of fear.

How can our world leaders bow to these people by letting them win. They did even have to execute their plan to make it work. Amazing.

You cannot protect people from everything. Security did not get this bad during WWII for goodness sakes.

Where is our FDR telling us that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself!

The so-called leaders today are not leaders. They are sham politicians who know nothing about real courage, sacrifice and standing tall against evil by not giving into its fear tactics. We are becoming the scared neighborhood residents who will not stand up to or turn in the local organized crime figures out of fear. Prisoners in our homes.

I just can't image being on a 12 hour flight (LGW-DFW) without a book!

It will be interesting to see how long they keep restrictions this tight!

You know, used to on TV shows and documentary-type programs, you used to could hear that FDR quote all the time, but I haven't heard it in ages. Maybe we should go around saying it and make it popular again.

Hmmm. Underwear only flights. Once the plane takes off there'll be a lot of nekkid people on board!
